Iva Murel Williams was born on October 31, 1922 in Spelter City, Oklahoma to Isaiah Vincent Martin and Lula Ann Martin. Iva has now gone to be with our Lord and Savior. She passed away in Missouri City, Texas on June 18, 2017 at the age of 94 years, 7 months
and 18 days.

Iva moved to Houston, Texas with her parents when she was a young child. She graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Houston, Texas. She married Roger Edward Williams on June 9, 1941 in Rosenberg, Texas and together they had...

and 18 days.

Iva moved to Houston, Texas with her parents when she was a young child. She graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Houston, Texas. She married Roger Edward Williams on June 9, 1941 in Rosenberg, Texas and together they had four children.
Iva attended Murphy Road Church of Christ until she became a resident of Park Manor of Quail Valley where she attended Heritage Baptist Mission Church. She was a homemaker, worked in retail and really loved her work. Iva had many hobbies she enjoyed sewing, reading, history, genealogy and was very artistic.

Iva loved God and reading the Bible. By example, Iva taught her children the importance of living a Christian life. She was a very compassionate person and was always willing to listen to Friends and family and try to help if she could. She really loved her family.
Iva was preceded in death by her parents Isaiah Vincent & Lula Ann Martin, Roger Edward Williams (husband), Carol Ann Williams (daughter), Donovan Williams (grandson), Sisters: Bessie Devon & G. N. Free, Dessie Lee Hibbs, Dorothy & Rodie Hibbs and Brother: Volney Martin.

Iva is survived by her children: James & Christine Williams of Flower Mound, Texas, Dorothy Coody of Bellville, Texas and Larry & Debra Williams of Bloomington, Indiana, Grandchildren: Sherry & Chris Wade of Cypress, Texas , Claudean & Kenneth Meuth of Conroe, Texas, Timothy Wilkerson of Cypress, Texas, Carolyn & Jeff Hebert of Houston, Texas, Michael & Leah Williams of Hayden, Idaho, Jamie & Jessie Holt of Ennis, Texas, Nancy Hobbs of Bellville, Texas, Kelley Hobbs of Bellville, Texas, Monica Coody of Deer Park, Texas, Rachael & Wesley Wilder of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Jennifer Williams of Bloomington, Indiana, 23 Great Grandchildren and Best Friends: Betty Coffman and Lanell Johnson.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed by an interment in Brookside Memorial Park.
