Lankford Bolling, Jr. was born to Lankford & Aurelia Bolling on June 9, 1948 in Princeton, N.J. In 1966, he graduated from Princeton High School and matriculated at Bradley University in 1971, with a B.S. in Psychology. After receiving his degree, Lankford and Sylvia were united in marriage. They lived in Chicago for two years where he worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer. In 1972, the couple moved to Houston, Texas where he studied towards a degree in Sociology with and emphasis in Urban studies at Texas Southern University. To this union two daughters were...

Lankford Bolling, Jr. was born to Lankford & Aurelia Bolling on June 9, 1948 in Princeton, N.J. In 1966, he graduated from Princeton High School and matriculated at Bradley University in 1971, with a B.S. in Psychology. After receiving his degree, Lankford and Sylvia were united in marriage. They lived in Chicago for two years where he worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer. In 1972, the couple moved to Houston, Texas where he studied towards a degree in Sociology with and emphasis in Urban studies at Texas Southern University. To this union two daughters were born, Shawna & Kenyetta. He retired after 27 years from the Texas Department of Transportation.

Lankford's lifelong hobbies included gardening, sports, music and writing. He was passionate about African-American History and has contributed a wide variety of articles on the African Origin of Civilization. Most recently, he published Book 1 of the series "Can What You Don't Know Hurt You?" - Why History in General and Black History In Particular Are Important.

Lankford is survived by his wife - Sylvia Bolling, his daughter and son in law - Shawna & Coece Roy, his daughter - Kenyetta Bolling, his 2 grandsons - Tyrell & Evan Roy and a host of other loved ones.
